Dymovsky granite, also known as “Brown bear”, is mined in Leningrad region near the village Dymovo, from which it got its name. One can often hear another name of the deposit: “Baltiisky”. This is logical, because it is located on the Baltic Shield of the Precambrian East European geological structure.
Within the same granite massif, production is carried out at the following fields: Yelizovsky and Baltiysky.
Currently, mining is carried out using the technology of diamond-rope sawing. It is this method that allows you to extract blocks of the correct rectangular shape and avoid man-made cracks.
